Like the Energizer Bunny, our word counts will keep going and going until they reach 10,000 words and beyond. All writers, vidders and artists in the Smallville fandom are welcomed to join this multi-ship/genre challenge. Our philosopy is the more, the merrier! Essentially, the Smallville Big Bang Challenge is here to inspire writers to create a story of 10,000 words or more. Then, authors are paired with artists, to have art made for their story. Creation is the goal here! DATES. Author Sign-ups: May 24 to June 28 First draft (8000 words) & summary due: September 20 Artists choose a story: September 22 until all stories have an artist Completed work due: October 18 Posting: Starts around October 20 - There will be an assigned, staggered posting schedule - with the goal of posting two-three stories a week, depending on the number of completed submissions RULES. 1. Be respectful to other fans. Disliking a particular character or characters or ships is perfectly fine, it happens. But there will be no flaming/attacking/mocking/harassing of a fan or a group of fans here. If you do this, you will be banned from the site. 2. Before signing up for the challenge, please read carefully through our sign-up rules that are located here. Know what you're getting yourself into before you sign up. 3. If you have any questions, please see our faq post that is located here. If you have a question and it hasn't already been asked, ask your question.
